Patterns in Plants that Correspond With Patterns in People
Herbalists have a deep relationship with the Plants they work with. There are certain patterns in a plant (where it grows, how it grows, how it affects our senses) that reveal its medicinal properties. Each is a signature or sign which shows what the medicine is for and how it should be used. Our job is to perceive these signatures of plants and ethically use their healing power
Elements, tissue states, ecosystems, diseases, stars, cycles, archetypes, emotional states, are all in correspondence with one another. As herbalists, We Always See The World As a Whole And Interconnected.

Supporting Vitality Instead of opposing disease; the holistic approach
Western medicine has its “differential diagnosis,” where the presenting symptoms can generate a list of possible (differential) causes, ultimately leading to the diagnosis. although this approach has some value, herbal medicine is less concerned with the formal diagnosis.
Instead, herbal medicine aims to carefully consider organ systems, strengths and weaknesses, underlying (stress, toxicity, poor nutrition, poor sleep, circulatory, weakness, inflammatory process, allergic hypersensitivity, and so on), and how to support in nourishing basic organ function and systemic vitality. Medicines employed by herbalists are typically aimed at restoring function and supporting the innate recuperative powers of the body.
The intelligent wisdom of the body to heal itself is sometimes referred to as “Vital Force,” and herbalists aim to support the vital force more so than to oppose the symptoms of disease. Almost all herbs offer at least one nutritive, being more like foods than drugs, and by nourishing the body and stimulating the vital force, the body is supported and healing itself.
